Douglas Light Douglas Light’s new series of non objective paintings introduction of new palette of colors that reflect an experience of southern Californian desert. Using energetic brush strokes of saturated color, Light confidently uses color harmonies that emanate an uplifting mood.
Michele Hofherr Michele Hofherr's new series of black and white photos depict horses amid grass and rolling hills. Michele Hofherr's photographic work has frequently featured people and has evolved from natural, black & white portraiture to colorful lifestyle commercial work for clients such as Shutterfly, Children's Hospital, Trumer Pilsner and Lexar (who featured her as one of their 'elite photographers').
Scott Courtenay-Smith Cityscape painter Scott Courtenay-Smith explores the relationship of humans to the environment they have created, depicting the familiar in a surreal, almost apocalyptic manner. Bowed light posts skew perspective, blue skies cleave their normally even blue dome, distant tree lines seemingly combust into smoke and streetlights burn in fire rather than glow evenly from their center. At the same time, Courtenay-Smith combines realistic architectural elements with shadowy, displaced figures to suggest alert perceptions that accompany life in city streets.
